Hi there everyone! I am so excited for a New Year and a New Start! Last year was great and I got to meet a bunch of new clients and had some oldies too 8)

I don't even know where to begin with talking about this most awesome family! I just want them to know how much I truely love them. They have been through alot together and are stronger because of it! They have taught me so much and I want them to know how much their friendship means to me and my family! The girls are absolutley stunning and the boys are so handsome! What's even better is they are just as incredible on the inside!!!

This Mama has her hands full! She has this beautiful newborn baby and a 13 month old! YIKES! So fun for her though! She got those kids done real quick, now she just has to try to get enough sleep to keep up with them both! I took little {L's} newborns a little over a year ago and now she is a big girl! Congrats D & A! Your girls are so precious!
Just like little {L} her sister {R} are part Indian and so the feathers in the picture represent one of the rituals that they follow! I love when people have something that represent their culture or something that is special to them as a family! LOVE <3

So this shoot I definitely got a workout! This little one was turning two and so so busy! I so wish I had that energy sometimes! I love this age... discovering everything around them and seeing how everything works. I have shot her and her mom and dad several times and I love it every time! They are an adorable little family! Thanks for letting me be a part of P's little life! I love all of you so much!

So Im going to start by making kindof a bold statement....One of the things I dislike the most about the blogging world is all the bloggers out there that pretend to be something they are not. They put on the sweet smile and blog about their wonderful perfect lives and its only the people that know them best that know that its a big fat lie!! I try not to judge but it is truely sad when I think about the lives that are torn apart and the families that struggle because of lies and deciet! With that being said....I will make a confession.....

Im sure all of you at one time or another has felt those feelings of being totally overwelmed and feeling like you have no control over your life....right?? Well thats what the last few years of my life has felt like! Through all the busyness of kids, work, and everyday life I found myself... not hitting rock bottom necessarily, but at a point where I felt my faith being tested. One thing I think I have been faced with on a daily basis is learning to trust in God no matter the circumstances. Trusting and letting go when you find yourself in circumstance you never expected and you feel as though your world is caving in, is so much easier said than done. I’ve always been the type of person that when a situation arises and falls apart, I try to be strong and put all the puzzle pieces back together. So many times I try to perfectly meet the expectations of others, of the world and of my own…only to soon realize no mater how tall I try to stand, I can’t reach them. I find myself saying over and over... "I truly believe in the power of prayer”…only to quickly find my own words hitting me like a huge brick. Do I really believe?As I sit.. struggling…holding on to hurt and frustration…rather than letting it go and finding refuge and strength in a God that is faithful. I need to wipe away the tears and admit I have no idea how to put the broken pieces back together, but trust and believe He has plan…no matter how long it may take for the plan to all come together. Have faith. Trust. Trust that He’s able to do what I only see as the impossible. HE knows me, HE knows my heart, and HE knows what is best for me!
I’m still learning.
I feel like I have my priorities in order and I know what is most important! MY Family is #1! The saying blood is thicker than water is sooo true! When you have no one else... you still have your family!! I have found the friends that I know are Truely friends! Not the ones you have to call everyday to check in, not the ones that judge, not the ones that don't understand what you are going through and think that their problems are bigger and worse than yours! Not the ones that pretend to be your friend and stab you in the back!!
True friends are those that you could not talk to for 6 months and pick right up where you left off. Ones that know that even though they have big things going on in their lives that yours are just as big in your eyes! Friends are those that stand beside you in spirit and let you know that they are their for you no matter what the circumstances are and most important they are the ones that are your voice when you cant seem to find your own! They are your biggest fans and root for you to make it to the end!! They are the ones that make you want to be a better person and lift you up when you are down!

I've read this saying before...“Simplicity is the secret to seeing things clearly.” Worrying brings confusion, obedience beings clarification. I need to obey and trust. So simple and yet still so difficult. Regardless of difficulty, being able to “let go and move on and have faith” brings about a peacefulness I so desperately need…just one of His small blessings!!
I am working on some things right now that I think will bring a peace I have never known. Im in a good place now... Im happy...My Family is Happy and I am ready to see where we go from here!
Wow that was blunt and kindof forward but it did feel good to just say it! Im usually not a confrontational person at all but that kinda came out that way! MMMMMM.... sorry if i offended anyone!

Now on to buisness.... here is the happiest baby i have seen in a very long time! He is sweet and so is his mama! She is one of my dear dear friends and i am so blessed to have her in my life!

This was my 3rd shoot with these handsome boys and we wanted to do something a little different....so we went fishin! These were for Mother's Day and it kills me to look at their sweaters and remember how stinkin cold it was in May! There was still 8 feet of snow in the mountains... Crazy!

First I have to say that I had to change my music player on here...It was having major issues! Also I am so obsessed with the first song from Lissie! I love the rawness of her voice and the acoustic magicalness(sure this is NOT a word) of this song!! Love love love.... Just sayin!!

Oh, where do I begin....Yesterday was my little girl's 11th Birthday, I guess she isn't so little anymore! I can honestly say that I am so proud to be her Mama and I am so proud of the little woman she is becoming.
She is smart and sweet and sometimes a little sassy! I love that she cares about other peoples feelings and I have been told many times that she is the most friendly and giving girl when someone is being left out. She always tries to make sure everyone is included.
She is also my little dancer in the family she can not go anywhere without putting a booty shake and a shimmy into her walk.
She is very talented at Ballroom dancing and she loves it so much! She is getting ready to try out again for her ballroom team at The Vibe and she thinks she wants to try some other genre's of dance too! Im sure she won't dissapoint. Her teacher tells me all the time that she is a natural and he loves her energy. She will be amazing one day I am sure of it!
She just got accepted to a charter school in our area and she will be in Junior High......OMGosh... I am totally freaking out over this! She was really excited to be in Junior High and excited about having a locker but not so much about the uniform thing...
This was our conversation when I found out she had been accepted..
Me....Sayler, I have some exciting news! YOu got accepted.... are you so excited??
Say....That means uniforms huh?
Me....Yes it does, it won't be bad. YOu will feel better about everything when you see that there is no pressure to have "the best, Most expensive" jeans or whatever!!
Say....But mom...My clothes are my Identity...That's how I express myself!!! (Filled with a whole lot of Drama)

She is hilarious I tell you! I love her to death. She makes me want to be a better woman, a better mom and a better person! There are so many rotten women out there and I hope she never becomes one of them. I hope she is a loyal and honest and caring and lovable. I hope she finds friends that have the same values and goals as she does and I hope she finds a man who absoulutley adores her and wants to share a life together for time and all eternity that will love and honor her as the person that she is! She is so beautiful inside and out! I want so so much for her.... I dont want her to ever hurt or doubt in herself. I wish I could write the perfect life for her and keep her in a bubble!
I love you my Say and I am so blessed to be able to raise you as my daughter! I will never forget the day you entered my life.... I am forever grateful!

So I was doing some spring cleaning on the ole' computer and found about 5 posts that I totally forgot about! Woops....don't worry they all have their pictures I just didn't post them on my blog! I am so sorry!
So yeah... I am going to try to be so much better about blogging this year! I would really like to do more on it than I am doing. It is just so hard to find the time. I know my life is just as crazy as everyone else's so I know you all feel me!

So here is a darling family I think i did back in Oct or so! They were the cutest! I can't believe I forgot to post these pictures of this deliciously cute baby! Does he not have the most perfect little lips you have ever laid eyes on? Love them! This little man was about 2 months old when I took these. He was very premature and spent the first part of his life in the NICU. First off.. I have posted a song and video from my absolute favorite movie. This song was not in the movie but when I saw it on YOUtube I knew I had to share it with this post about my life! When I heard this song two years ago, I fell in love and this movie is my all time favorite love story! My hubby will hate me for this but he even loved it. :0) I love how they meshed them together! So touching and romantic! I {heart} it! YOu will have to turn my tunes off in the side bar to watch this video...when it's done just click > again on the ipod! YOU got it!! :)

Ohhhhh man where do I begin?
This last year has been the longest yet shortest year of my life. I know it doesn’t make any sense but have you ever felt like your were caught in a tornado of emotions and don’t know when, where and how life is going to set you down? Well I think I have both feet safe on the ground now. Thank goodness!
I am having some feelings of change though and I am so ready for it. I am ready and my family is ready! I can feel it in my bones! I see great things in our future and I am stoked! It’s out with the old and in with the new!
I am done wasting time and emotion on toxic friends! I am done taking things for granted! I want to look back on my life and know with all my heart and soul that I am a good person!
I want to be remembered for being a strong, confident and honorable woman! A woman of integrity and love. A woman who can say she lived life to the fullest and has NO regrets!
I have thought about my life a lot this last year. I have wondered and tried to understand the reasons why we have certain trials in our lives and what is to be learned from them. Those very trials have affected the person I am today and the person I will become tomorrow and in the future. WOW, that is pretty intimidating! I know I still have a lot of life left to live and plenty more trials to deal with and work through. Thankfully I have a solid rock to lean on and a hand to hold through this crazy journey we call life. I must say I am one lucky girl! I love you my Waylynn with all my heart and soul! You are my EVERYTHING!
I think sometimes it is scary to say things out loud because it makes them seem so real! I believe that sometimes we don’t know the strengths within ourselves until we are tested.
I know when my brother died I didn’t think my heart could hurt so badly. I mean literally felt like a chunk of it had been ripped out of my chest!
When I married my best friend and man of my dreams I remember thinking that I had never felt my heart feel like it was on fire. It burned with joy and excitement of a life yet to come.
When I had my babies it wept with happiness. I never new I could feel so much love for such a little person!
I know my trials are probably no different than others and I know we all feel these different emotions at different times in our lives and they all make us stronger and better people. We learn from them and grow from them. We will all need to try to be thankful for them. I know it is hard to wrap your mind around…especially when you are going through those hard times. It seems impossible that the hell you are going through is supposed to be a learning experience. That you’re supposed to forgive and forget. How do you forgive and not feel and ache for those who have no choice but to feel the effects of a horrible and selfish choice.
Forgiveness is something that takes years and a whole lot of courage. I will definitely have to work on that one. Life is not easy. Life is sometimes unfair, but life is all we have so we better live it….RIGHT?!
WOW…. Sorry about that long rant, but it brings me to this…..
There will always be those people out there that try their darndest to bring you down, to turn your words and thoughts into poison. Those people that don’t care who they hurt or what is in their way as long as they get what they want.
Don’t falter…..stand for what you believe in, and be proud of the person you are because you will only become stronger and more beautiful!!
I stole this little saying from a friend because I liked it so much!
“ They say there is no softer pillow than a clear conscience, it must be horrible to sleep on a bed of bricks every night!”

As I am sitting here watching the snow falling and thinking about this holiday season approaching I just want to tell my family just how thankful I am for THEM and how much I love and adore them. I know I don’t tell them nearly enough. My most gorgeous husband is my rock….REALLY! He has always been there for me! His arms are my comfort and my security and my bubble that I can feel safe in. There is NOTHING like that feeling!
Our babies are the best too. They make me a better person. They make me remember the little things and to cherish them with all I have!
I wouldn’t be the person I am today without my family! I am incredibly blessed to have them all in my life! I have learned something different from each and every one of them and for them I am so thankful.

Now enough of all that lets see some pix..... Here is a little bit of our year, it has been incredibly fun! Sorry for the long post but I promise I will only do this every once in awhile! Thanks for looking!

Ohhhh My..... Where does the time go.... SERIOUSLY? My Sayler is 10 years old!! It is actually a little bitter sweet! She is turning into a little woman and she couldn't make me more proud!
She is Sweet and somewhat Sassy!
She is Smart and Beautiful!
She is Funny and Talented!
She loves Justin Beber.....
She loves to Dance(Ballroom.....actually any kind of dance)
Her favorite food is anything seafood (she is gonna be an expensive date)..... I guess that's a good thing :0)
She loves her Momma and to hang out with her friends.

She has the most beautiful strawberry blonde hair..........

The best thing about her is...... She's alllllll mine and I am so thankful for her!

I hope you never have to feel the pain of a broken heart or to have to go through life with sorrow or what could have been's! This Little Family are some of my dearest friends! We had alot of fun on this shoot or at least ~N~ and I had fun! It's so much work to get the whole family looking good, in good moods and ready to be nice to the photographer but she did it! Her boys are darling and they are all so different it's fun to see their little personality's come through! I love all of them dearly! Mr. B the middle boy, is my Sayler's Ballroom Dance partner and boy are they hilarious! YOu should hear them when they get together they have so much fun but yet they argue like brother and sister!! Sooo cute! I love you guys and I hope we will have many future shoots!!

These kids are sooo cute! I had a blast taking pictures of them! Miss {M} is a little spit-fire and Mr. {B} is soooo his Daddy's son! It was a bit cold but we made the most of it! Hey there everyone. So I'm so excited to do this blog post. I don't know if alot of you know anything about me so I decided to give you a little piece of me!!!
I was born and raised in Vernal Utah! Woooo Hoooo! I lived there until I was 10 and then we moved to Salt Lake! Vernal was a fun place to grow up but it was also fun moving to Salt Lake near some of my Mom's Family! I lived in West Jordan for about 7 years and then lived in Taylorsville for about 5 years! I started Beauty School my senior year of High school and loved every minute of it! I made some crazy friends that are still some of besties!!
I met the man of my dreams my junior year of high school about 2 weeks before my brother was killed in an car accident!! I know it sounds really corny but I truly believe that we met for a reason! We have been together ever since! He is an incredible husband and father! He is my rock... my best friend.... my protector.......MY EVERYTHING!! We built our first house in Tooele and lived there for about 5 years! While we were living there we had our two beautiful kiddos SWEET Say and River Rooster!! They are my pride and joy! I cant imagine life without them! They make my life soooo crazy but sooo worth every minute!
We moved to Herriman almost 7 years ago and we absolutely love it!
I definitely still have a little country left in me! I love being out of the city enough that there are still farms and horses and property!!

Today I decided to take a little ME TIME cause I was feeling a little BLAH..... and drive around and take some pictures! I woke up to more snow and was really quite depressed! I was soooo feeling the Spring Fever! I swear I was born to live near the ocean!! Anyhow I decided instead of being mad at more snow that I needed to get out and enjoy the beauty of it! Sooo here I go.... snow pants...CHECK
snow boots....CHECK
coat.... CHECK
hat.....CHECK
fully charged camera......CHECK
Off I go.... didn't really know where I was going or what I was going to take pictures of but I was going to go out and tromp through the snow!!! I headed up the canyon and found myself so relaxed and carefree that I didn't even have one thought go through my mind of how bad I hated the snow!
I was thinking how magical and beautiful the snow was how perfect and untouched it looked that I just wanted to lay down and cry or make snow angels or something! I was really caught up in a ton of different emotions!! I think with all the stuff that's been going on in my life this last few months I have forgotten how much I love to take pictures.... to capture the beauty of this magnificent place we call earth! I had forgotten the beauty of the mountains.... the peace of an early morning..... the sounds of the waterfall flowing.... I decided to sit down and just reminisce of the things that bring joy in this life of mine!
I decided this snowstorm was meant for me.... to cleanse my mind of all the negative things that have been eating at me! I'm ready to start a new day with a new look at life!!

Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass......... It's about learning to dance in the rain!!!

So in honor of the little country girl (Brooklynn Karl) inside of me I decided to play some country tunes on my playlist for all of you!! Hope you enjoy!! These are some of my favorite country artists!! I am also posting some pics of the country things I love about this little town called Herriman that I love soooo sooo much!!
These horses that I came across absolutely loved me!! They were freaking out when I went to leave!! I must have got out of my car 4 or 5 times to just give them a little more love! I seriously felt like a Horse Whisperer :0) HEHEHEHE!! You know how they say that horses are therapeutic?...... I soooo believe that is true!

So I am soooo in love with acoustic music lately!! I can't get enough of it!! I just love to hear the musician and either the guitar or piano! There is something so raw and romantic about it! It really makes me feel the emotion of the song and I just want to dance! The first John Mayer song gives me the tingles!!! HEHE!! :o} MMMMMM.........{I heart it!!}
You know the artist is incredible if they only need their voice and an instrument to make wonderful music!! Stick around and listen for a bit!! There is lots to look at!! Let me know what you think too!!

Wowzers.... this session was so much fun!! Little {K} gave me a run for my money! She didn't want to have anything to do with me until I told her I had Chocolate then she was alllll about me!! So cute! She likes her sweets!
Then Miss {K} isn't she a little beauty?? She is so natural with the camera and it loves her! I think we got some amazing shots and I will for sure be shooting them again real soon!!

I know...... I know what you are thinking!!! It has been a long time since I blogged! Seriously! I'm so sorry! I have had madness in my life lately and no time to blog!

So yes..... I'm busted.... this baby was from back in October! She was so beautiful! Simply a little angel! She was really good until the end and she did not want anything to do with me! Luckily we got some keepers before she decided to be a stinker! I am so in love with my new backdrop colors!! Love them to pieces! I hope you enjoy looking!

This Family is seriously so beautiful!! Their family is so Photogenic!! I didn't even have to tell them to do things they just did it and every face, every movement was perfect!! B and R are so cute together!! YOu can tell he just adores his wife! They were so cute and loving together!! I love LOVE!! Thanks Guys for being such troopers!! Oh and I have to tell everyone that Little Miss S was so funny.... I kept pulling her hair up front so you could see it in the pictures and every time I pulled it forward she would push it back and would say she hated it cause it itched her!! Her mom promised her if she would keep it long for pictures that she could cut it off after we were through...... :o( ME so SAD!! So she just cut 10 inches off for LOCKS OF LOVE!! So proud of you MISS "S"! Some little kids are gonna be soooo happy to have that HAir!! ENJOY!!

Sheesh I have had a ton of newborns lately!! I love them though! This baby girl is the sweetest little thing! I have been friends with her Mommy and Daddy for a very long time and was so excited when they asked me to photograph their cuteness!! I had so much fun catching up with them and seeing what cute parents they are going to be!! They just sat and stared at her in amazement as I was squishing her into all the different poses! Love you guys and thanks! She is an ANGEL for sure!!

Let me just tell you all how much I love these little cuties!!! They are so beautiful! They are sisters..... yes they are!! I don't think any of them look alike...... and I love it that way...... they each have their own little personalities and styles!! They were sooo good during this shoot!! It was awefully hot and sweaty but they were totally up for anything!! Girls are sooo much fun but BoY oH BoY are their Mama and Daddy in for it!! The boys are gonna be after these little cuties! These are a few shoots that I've done in the last couple weeks!! I am making a promise to myself that I am going to start blogging better!! I have not been doing so well! So here are a few sneek peeks at some shoots that I will be posting the rest of in the next little bit! I know..... I know..... I am the queen of sneak peeks and I apologize for that but life just gets in the way sometimes!
I also wanted to mention Fall/Winter shoots are now happening!! Get your date while I still have some available!! Yep it's almost that time of year!! Wow time really flys by these days! Why is it that when you are young all you want to do is be old and when your old all you want is to be young again??!! Hey everyone! Okay so here is the first post of a few that will be up within the next week or so!! These boys are so stinkin cute! They are kinda quiet but once you get them posing it was a different story! They were showing some brotherly love... then not so much love! They were trying out some karate chops on eachother. So your probably wondering why I named this post that..... well try running around after 7 kiddos trying to get them all to pose or at least look somewhat..... What's the word..... umm... Natural!! I like the candid look and all but WOWZERS!! What a crazy shoot! It was really fun though! One of my friends decided it would be nice to have a picture of all the grandkids. What was she thinking.... This was a really fun shoot! This guy my husband works with did these for his x-wife for Mother's Day! Ahhhhh sooo sweet HUH!!
Love that he was thinking pictures! Of corse all of us Mom's love to have awesome pictures of our Kiddo's!
They were absolutley darling and so polite! After words I gave them a treat and they said "Thank you Brooke for taking our pictures." Sooo sweet! Definantly going to be little heartbreakers!!
Ohhhh and I know what your thinking.......Seriously Brooke these are from Mother's Day!! I know, I know I'm a little behind! I'm trying to get caught up! Thanks for being patient.....Love you all!

Okay so this shoot was so much fun! It made me miss my two little ones when they were babies! I love love this stage! They are so innocent. She did really well. She slept through most of me folding her in half and taking her diaper on and off! She truly is an angel to her parents too. They have been waiting a long time for her to come into their lives! Have fun with her Denise and Kevin cause they grow up way to fast!!! She is absolutely, perfectly beautiful! I will be looking forward to shooting her again as she grows!

Okay so here is the part where she did not want to do what I had planned! She doesn't like to be curled in a little ball. Every time I would tuck her legs under her......... POP they would come right back out again. Well one leg.... the other she kinda still liked bent. Funny Girl!

Totally loved this pic of her and her DADDY! They look like they are saying a little prayer together! Love This!

Okay so this was seriously the funnest shoot! This little thing is sooo full of it. She was quite the poser if you didn't notice. She just did most of the poses herself. I kept telling her okay if you'll do this pose then you can do whatever pose you want! She was so much fun. I'm sure I'll use her as my little model in the future. Thanks little Midgie!
